Taproom and drinks menu

We wouldn’t be an ale house without a wide selection of beer. We have a wide range of beer taps featuring most of the Speight’s range, cider and a crafty seasonal release, plus Emerson’s beers, Panheads and Zeffer. There’s more in the fridge, too. Ask the team what’s new when you come in!

If beer isn’t your thing, we offer a selection of fine Central Otago and New Zealand wines, a massive range of gins and whiskeys and some delicious cocktails.

What’s on tap at the moment?

  • Guinness (4.1%)

Guinness is a dark Irish dry stout that originated in the brewery of Arthur Guinness at St. James's Gate, Dublin, Ireland, in 1759.

  • Emerson’s Orange Roughy Tropical pale ale (4.2%)

The Orange Roughy’s scientific name is Hoplostethus atlanticus. Which roughly translates as, hazy, hoppy pale ale with a tropical fruit aroma, citrus flavour, and malty backbone.

  • Kirin Hyoketsu (6%)

Kirin HYOKETSU is meticulously crafted using the Japanese signature “Hyoten Toketsu” technique. Natural fruit juice is frozen at -18 °C to lock in the intense and authentic flavour, delivering a perfectly balanced vodka soda that is low in both sugar and calories. Ask for He-yo-ket-su today!

  • Emerson’s Hazed & Confused (5.8%)

This cloudy IPA does have a gnarly hit of Riwaka, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops, with a tropical citrus flavour, and a totally piney finish.
